operative range HN 435 S

The mechanical seal HN 435S is a stationary seal type desgined for applications according to DIN 24960 and having an installation length of l1k. Thus to the stationary arrangement of the parts containing the springs, the secondary seals are not subject to strain by tumbling motions caused by inclination or misalignement. The springs do not come in contact with the product avoiding to peg or to jam. Thus to this construction arrangement a greater clearance for leakage-caused deposits is achieved as on standard seals and allowing a free axial motion of the seal face. The slaving of the stationary ring is achieve by threaded pins. The torque is transmit by these pins to the stationary ring. The smooth outside of the seal face and the stationary ring avoids an adhereing of solid matters and reduces the whirling of the seals inside the medium. The small sliding surfaces of the seal face and the stationary ring guarantee a low energy consumption, a low frictional heat and as a result a lower wear of the sliding materials. Empoying this seal a higher service life, a lower energy consumption and longer maintenance rate can be acheived.

The seal can be employeed for pressures up to 25 bar, for temperatures up to 200°C and for sliding velocities up to 20 m/s with a diameter range between 18 mm and 100 mm and is designed to be used inside pumps, mixers and compressors in the chemical -, paper - and chemical pulp industry as well as in the food processing industry and waste water management.
